The Spirit of the Lord spake by me, and his word was in my tongue.


Yet many years didst thou forbear them, and testifiedst against them by thy Spirit in thy prophets: yet would they not give ear: therefore gavest thou them into the hands of the people of the lands.


The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.


nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.


Men and brethren, this Scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.


And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Isaiah the prophet unto our fathers,


For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.


All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:


But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?


again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, Today, after so long a time; as it is said, Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.


searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.


For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
