In the twenty and seventh year of Jerobo´am king of Israel began Azari´ah son of Amazi´ah king of Judah to reign.


Shallum the son of Jabesh began to reign in the nine and thirtieth year of Uzzi´ah king of Judah; and he reigned a full month in Samaria.


In the second year of Pekah the son of Remali´ah king of Israel began Jotham the son of Uzzi´ah king of Judah to reign.


So Azari´ah slept with his fathers; and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David: and Jotham his son reigned in his stead.


Now it came to pass in the third year of Hoshe´a son of Elah king of Israel, that Hezeki´ah the son of Ahaz king of Judah began to reign.


And he sent Eli´akim, which was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests, covered with sackcloth, to Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz.


Then all the people of Judah took Uzzi´ah, who was sixteen years old, and made him king in the room of his father Amazi´ah.


Now the rest of the acts of Uzzi´ah, first and last, did Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, write.


Jotham was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Jeru´shah, the daughter of Zadok.


Ahaz was twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem: but he did not that which was right in the sight of the Lord, like David his father:


And the consecrated things were six hundred oxen and three thousand sheep.


Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.


The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz did see.


The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.


at the same time spake the Lord by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, Go and loose the sackcloth from off thy loins, and put off thy shoe from thy foot. And he did so, walking naked and barefoot.


A grievous vision is declared unto me; The treacherous dealer dealeth treacherously, and the spoiler spoileth. Go up, O Elam: besiege, O Me´di-a: all the sighing thereof have I made to cease.


And he sent Eli´akim, who was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests, covered with sackcloth, unto Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz.


In those days was Hezeki´ah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live.


O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God!


In the year that king Uzzi´ah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.


And it came to pass in the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzzi´ah, king of Judah, that Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remali´ah, king of Israel, went up toward Jerusalem to war against it, but could not prevail against it.


Thus saith the Lord of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you; they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the Lord.


Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.


The word of the Lord that came unto Hose´a, the son of Be-e´ri, in the days of Uzzi´ah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezeki´ah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jerobo´am the son of Jo´ash, king of Israel.


The words of Amos, who was among the herdmen of Teko´a, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzzi´ah king of Judah, and in the days of Jerobo´am the son of Jo´ash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.
