that they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret; that Daniel and his fellows should not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.


Then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven.


Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory.


nevertheless, leave the stump of his roots in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beasts in the grass of the earth:


And whereas the king saw a watcher and a holy one coming down from heaven, and saying, Hew the tree down, and destroy it; yet leave the stump of the roots thereof in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beasts of the field, till seven times pass over him;


While the word was in the king's mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, O king Nebuchadnez´zar, to thee it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee.


Now I Nebuchadnez´zar praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.


But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him:


and he was driven from the sons of men; and his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild asses: they fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven; till he knew that the most high God ruled in the kingdom of men, and that he appointeth over it whomsoever he will.


And when the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away!


but I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne:


I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,


And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
