Then we departed from the river of Aha´va on the twelfth day of the first month, to go unto Jerusalem: and the hand of our God was upon us, and he delivered us from the hand of the enemy, and of such as lay in wait by the way.


If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause:


For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men.


And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatic, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.


and from thence to Phil´ippi, which is the chief city of that part of Macedo´nia, and a colony: and we were in that city abiding certain days.


And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedo´nia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedo´nia, and help us.


And Paul after this tarried there yet a good while, and then took his leave of the brethren, and sailed thence into Syria, and with him Priscilla and Aquila; having shorn his head in Cen´chre-ae: for he had a vow.


After these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedo´nia and Achai´a, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome.


And after the uproar was ceased, Paul called unto him the disciples, and embraced them, and departed for to go into Macedo´nia.


serving the Lord with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews:


And when he had gone over those parts, and had given them much exhortation, he came into Greece,

For, when we were come into Macedo´nia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were fears.


Afterward I came into the regions of Syria and Cili´cia;
