and he laid his hands upon him, and gave him a charge, as the Lord commanded by the hand of Moses.


and she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.


And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, show whether of these two thou hast chosen,


As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.


So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleu´cia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.


And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.


and thence sailed to An´ti-och, from whence they had been recommended to the grace of God for the work which they fulfilled.


and Paul chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by the brethren unto the grace of God.

and how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!


Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.


Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep thyself pure.


Wherefore I put thee in remembrance, that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.


And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.


which have borne witness of thy charity before the church: whom if thou bring forward on their journey after a godly sort, thou shalt do well:


We therefore ought to receive such, that we might be fellow helpers to the truth.
