and Sheva was scribe: and Zadok and Abi´athar were the priests:


And he conferred with Jo´ab the son of Zeru-i´ah, and with Abi´athar the priest: and they following Adoni´jah helped him.


And David called for Zadok and Abi´athar the priests, and for the Levites, for U´ri-el, Asai´ah, and Joel, Shemai´ah, and El´i-el, and Ammin´adab,


and Zadok the son of Ahi´tub, and Abim´elech the son of Abi´athar, were the priests; and Shavsha was scribe;


and, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.


and Ahi´ah, the son of Ahi´tub, Ich´abod's brother, the son of Phin´ehas, the son of Eli, the Lord's priest in Shiloh, wearing an ephod. And the people knew not that Jonathan was gone.

And David knew that Saul secretly practised mischief against him; and he said to Abi´athar the priest, Bring hither the ephod.


And David said to Abi´athar the priest, Ahim´elech's son, I pray thee, bring me hither the ephod. And Abi´athar brought thither the ephod to David.


And there ran a man of Benjamin out of the army, and came to Shiloh the same day with his clothes rent, and with earth upon his head.
