I was poured out as water, and all my bones were sundered; my heart was as wax being melted in the midst of my bowels.


For my loins were filled with inflammation, and no soundness in my flesh.


Why wilt thou be bowed down, O my soul? and why wilt thou be disturbed upon me? Hope upon God, for yet shall I praise him, the salvation of my face and my God.

Will Jehovah reject forever? and will he no more add to be satisfied?


So that I shall recount all thy praises in the gates of the daughter of Zion: I will rejoice in thy salvation.

The spirit of man will sustain his disease; and a dejected spirit who shall lift up?


Heal me, O Jehovah, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou my praise.


Then says he to them, My soul is sorely grieved, even to death: remain here, and watch ye with me.


And shall not God do the avenging of his chosen, crying to him day and night, being slow to anger toward them?


Now has my soul been troubled; and what should I say? O Father, save me from this hour: but for this came I to this hour.
