But you do see trouble and grief. You consider it to take it into your hand. You help the victim and the fatherless.


Some sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron,


He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their bonds in sunder.


and a fruitful land into a salt waste, for the wickedness of those who dwell in it.


He settles the barren woman in her home, as a joyful mother of children. Praise the LORD!


who executes justice for the oppressed; who gives food to the hungry. The LORD frees the prisoners.


For the LORD hears the needy, and doesn't despise his captive people.


for their Defender is strong. He will plead their case against you.

He does execute justice for the fatherless and widow, and loves the foreigner, in giving him food and clothing.


Those who were full have hired themselves out for bread. Those who were hungry have ceased [to hunger]. Yes, the barren has borne seven. She who has many children languishes.
