The womb shall forget him. The worm shall feed sweetly on him. He shall be no more remembered. Unrighteousness shall be broken as a tree.


Like a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him.


When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.


Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has he, in anger, withheld his compassion?* Selah.


*Oh, my son! Oh, son of my womb! Oh, son of my vows!


For the LORD will have compassion on Ya`akov, and will yet choose Yisra'el, and set them in their own land. The foreigner will join himself with them, and they will unite with the house of Ya`akov.


Remember these things, Ya`akov, and Yisra'el; for you are my servant: I have formed you; you are my servant: Yisra'el, you shall not be forgotten by me.


But Tziyon said, the LORD has forsaken me, and the Lord has forgotten me.


For the mountains may depart, and the hills be removed; but my loving kindness shall not depart from you, neither shall my covenant of shalom be removed, says the LORD who has mercy on you.

*When Yisra'el was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.


You will eat the flesh of your sons, and you will eat the flesh of your daughters.


They shall be mine,* says the LORD of Armies, *my own possession in the day that I make, and I will spare them, as a man spares his own son who serves him.


If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!


without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, unforgiving, unmerciful;


For the LORD will not forsake his people for his great name's sake, because it has pleased the LORD to make you a people to himself.
