As for me, I said in my haste, *I am cut off from before your eyes.* Nevertheless you heard the voice of my petitions when I cried to you.


Why do you say, Ya`akov, and speak, Yisra'el, *My way is hidden from the LORD, and the justice due me is disregarded by my God?*


Sing, heavens; and be joyful, earth; and break forth into singing, mountains: for the LORD has comforted his people, and will have compassion on his afflicted.


Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you.


For the LORD has called you as a wife forsaken and grieved in spirit, even a wife of youth, when she is cast off, says your God.


therefore, behold, I will utterly forget you, and I will cast you off, and the city that I gave to you and to your fathers, away from my presence:


The LORD appeared of old to me, [saying], Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn you.


Why do you forget us forever, [And] forsake us so long time?


You, son of man, tell the house of Yisra'el: Thus you speak, saying, Our transgressions and our sins are on us, and we pine away in them; how then can we live?
