The LORD said, *Because the cry of Sedom and `Amorah is great, and because their sin is very grievous,


I will go down now, and see whether their deeds are as bad as the reports which have come to me. If not, I will know.*


God said to Noach, *The end of all flesh has come before me, for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them with the earth.


But Noach found favor in the LORD's eyes.


The LORD said to Noach, *Come with all of your household into the teivah, for I have seen your righteousness before me in this generation.


All flesh died that moved on the earth, including birds, livestock, animals, every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, and every man.


God said, *This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:


He sings before men, and says, 'I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, and it didn't profit me.


The LORD's eyes are everywhere, keeping watch on the evil and the good.


All flesh will see God's salvation.'*


and didn't spare the ancient world, but preserved Noach with seven others, a preacher of righteousness, when he brought a flood on the world of the ungodly;
