Avram said to the king of Sedom, *I have lifted up my hand to the LORD, El `Elyon, possessor of heaven and earth,


I will make you swear by the LORD, the God of heaven and the God of the earth, that you shall not take a wife for my son of the daughters of the Kena`anim, among whom I live.


Make me savory food, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat, and that my soul may bless you before I die.*


Ya`akov blessed Par`oh, and went out from the presence of Par`oh.


Yosef brought in Ya`akov, his father, and set him before Par`oh, and Ya`akov blessed Par`oh.


All these are the twelve tribes of Yisra'el, and this is what their father spoke to them and blessed them. He blessed everyone according to his blessing.


David sent messengers to the men of Yavesh-Gil`ad, and said to them, Blessed be you of the LORD, that you have shown this kindness to your lord, even to Sha'ul, and have buried him.

Following Sha'ul and us, she cried out, *These men are servants of the El `Elyon, who proclaim to us the way of salvation!*


Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Messiah;


to the praise of the glory of his grace, by which he freely bestowed favor on us in the Beloved,


Behold, to the LORD your God belongs heaven and the heaven of heavens, the earth, with all that is therein.


He said, Blessed are you by the LORD, my daughter: you have shown more kindness in the latter end than at the beginning, inasmuch as you didn't follow young men, whether poor or rich.


Shemu'el came to Sha'ul; and Sha'ul said to him, Blessed are you by the LORD: I have performed the mitzvah of the LORD.
