3 Know therefore this day, that the LORD your God is he who goes over before you as a devouring fire; he will destroy them, and he will bring them down before you: so shall you drive them out, and make them to perish quickly, as the LORD has spoken to you.

For my angel shall go before you, and bring you in to the Amori, the Chittite, the Perizzi, the Kena`ani, the Chivvi, and the Yevusi; and I will cut them off.


The appearance of the glory of the LORD was like devouring fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Yisra'el.


Wrath is not in me, but if I should find briers and thorns, I would do battle! I would march on them and I would burn them together.


Behold, the name of the LORD comes from far away, burning with his anger, and in thick rising smoke. His lips are full of indignation, and his tongue is as a devouring fire.


The LORD will cause his glorious voice to be heard, and will show the descent of his arm, with the indignation of his anger, and the flame of a devouring fire, with a blast, storm, and hailstones.


For his burning place has long been ready. Yes, for the king it is made ready. He has made its pyre deep and large with fire and much wood. The LORD's breath, like a stream of sulfur, kindles it.


The sinners in Tziyon are afraid. Trembling has seized the godless ones. Who among us can live with the devouring fire? Who among us can live with everlasting burning?

For the LORD your God is a devouring fire, a jealous God.


You shall consume all the peoples who the LORD your God shall deliver to you; your eye shall not pity them: neither shall you serve their gods; for that will be a snare to you.


The LORD your God will cast out those nations before you by little and little: you may not consume them at once, lest the animals of the field increase on you.


Know therefore, that the LORD your God doesn't give you this good land to possess it for your righteousness; for you are a stiff-necked people.


giving vengeance to those who don't know God, and to those who don't obey the Good News of our Lord Yeshua,


for our God is a consuming fire.


All the cities of those kings, and all the kings of them, did Yehoshua take, and he struck them with the edge of the sword, and utterly destroyed them; as Moshe the servant of the LORD commanded.
