If he passes by, or confines, or convenes a court, then who can oppose him?


The magicians couldn't stand before Moshe because of the boils; for the boils were on the magicians, and on all the Egyptians.


But he who comes against him shall do according to his own will, and none shall stand before him; and he shall stand in the glorious land, and in his hand shall be destruction.


I saw the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward; and no animals could stand before him, neither was there any who could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and magnified himself.


Yet I destroyed the Amori before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath.


Who can stand before his indignation? Who can endure the fierceness of his anger? His wrath is poured out like fire, and the rocks are broken apart by him.


They went up by the South, and came to Chevron; and Achiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the children of `Anak, were there. (Now Chevron was built seven years before Tzo`an in Egypt.)


However the people who dwell in the land are strong, and the cities are fortified, [and] very great: and moreover we saw the children of `Anak there.


There we saw the Nefilim, the sons of `Anak, who come of the Nefilim: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.


Where are we going up? our brothers have made our heart to melt, saying, The people are greater and taller than we; the cities are great and fortified up to the sky; and moreover we have seen the sons of the `Anakim there.


a people great, and many, and tall, as the `Anakim; but the LORD destroyed them before them; and they succeeded them, and lived in their place;


He will deliver their kings into your hand, and you shall make their name to perish from under the sky: there shall no man be able to stand before you, until you have destroyed them.


Yehoshua came at that time, and cut off the `Anakim from the hill country, from Chevron, from Devir, from `Anav, and from all the hill country of Yehudah, and from all the hill country of Yisra'el: Yehoshua utterly destroyed them with their cities.


There was none of the `Anakim left in the land of the children of Yisra'el: only in `Aza, in Gat, and in Ashdod, did some remain.


Kalev drove out there the three sons of `Anak: Sheshai, and Achiman, and Talmai, the children of `Anak.
