Binding his foal to the vine, his donkey's colt to the choice vine; he has washed his garments in wine, his robes in the blood of grapes.


They came there into the midst of the house, as though they would have fetched wheat; and they struck him in the body: and Rechav and Ba`anah his brother escaped.


Shlomo gave Chiram twenty thousand measures of wheat for food to his household, and twenty measures of pure oil: thus gave Shlomo to Chiram year by year.


Until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of grain and new wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of olive trees and of honey, that you may live, and not die: and don't listen to Chizkiyahu, when he persuades you, saying, the LORD will deliver us.


He makes shalom in your borders. He fills you with the finest of the wheat.


But he would have also fed them with the finest of the wheat. I will satisfy you with honey out of the rock.*


It will happen in that day that every place where there were a thousand vines at a thousand silver shekels, shall be for briers and thorns.


I brought you into a plentiful land, to eat the fruit of it and the goodness of it; but when you entered, you defiled my land, and made my heritage an abomination.


They shall eat up your harvest, and your bread, [which] your sons and your daughters should eat; they shall eat up your flocks and your herds; they shall eat up your vines and your fig trees; they shall beat down your fortified cities, in which you trust, with the sword.


Yehudah, and Eretz-Yisra'el, they were your traffickers: they traded for your merchandise wheat of Minnit, and confections, and honey, and oil, and balm.


and the earth will respond to the grain, and the new wine, and the oil; and they will respond to Yizre`el.


For she did not know that I gave her the grain, the new wine, and the oil, and multiplied to her silver and gold, which they used for Ba`al.


But they will sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and no one will make them afraid: For the mouth of the LORD of Armies has spoken.


For though the fig tree doesn't flourish, nor fruit be in the vines; the labor of the olive fails, the fields yield no food; the flocks are cut off from the fold, and there is no herd in the stalls:


They came to the valley of Eshkol, and cut down from there a branch with one cluster of grapes, and they bore it on a staff between two; [they brought] also of the pomegranates, and of the figs.


So they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with broken pieces from the five barley loaves, which were left over by those who had eaten.


*There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are these among so many?*


He made him ride on the high places of the earth. He ate the increase of the field. He caused him to suck honey out of the rock, oil out of the flinty rock;


Butter of the herd, and milk of the flock, with fat of lambs, rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, with the finest of the wheat. Of the blood of the grape you drank wine.


Hear therefore, Yisra'el, and observe to do it; that it may be well with you, and that you may increase mightily, as the LORD, the God of your fathers, has promised to you, in a land flowing with milk and honey.


For the LORD your God brings you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of springs, and underground water flowing into valleys and hills;


a land in which you shall eat bread without scarceness, you shall not lack anything in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills you may dig copper.
