7 The Lord said to Joshua, “What I do today will make all the people of Israel begin to honor you as a great man, and they will realize that I am with you as I was with Moses.

The Lord made the whole nation stand in awe of Solomon, and he made him more glorious than any other king that had ruled Israel.


Solomon, the son of King David, took firm control of the kingdom of Israel, and the Lord his God blessed him and made him very powerful.


Why are people so important to you? Why pay attention to what they do?


O Lord, you protect me and save me; your care has made me great, and your power has kept me safe.


After Jesus finished saying this, he looked up to heaven and said, “Father, the hour has come. Give glory to your Son, so that the Son may give glory to you.


My deep desire and hope is that I shall never fail in my duty, but that at all times, and especially right now, I shall be full of courage, so that with my whole being I shall bring honor to Christ, whether I live or die.


We will obey you, just as we always obeyed Moses, and may the Lord your God be with you as he was with Moses!


Joshua, no one will be able to defeat you as long as you live. I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will always be with you; I will never abandon you.


Remember that I have commanded you to be determined and confident! Do not be afraid or discouraged, for I, the Lord your God, am with you wherever you go.”


Then he told the priests to take the Covenant Box and go with it ahead of the people. They did as he said.


Tell the priests carrying the Covenant Box that when they reach the river, they must wade in and stand near the bank.”


What the Lord did that day made the people of Israel consider Joshua a great man. They honored him all his life, just as they had honored Moses.
