The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand.


Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings,


His soul shall abide in well-being, and his offspring shall inherit the land.


For he will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble; he will conceal me under the cover of his tent; he will lift me high upon a rock.


In the cover of your presence you hide them from the plots of men; you store them in your shelter from the strife of tongues.


You are a hiding place for me; you preserve me from trouble; you surround me with shouts of deliverance. Selah


How precious is your steadfast love, O God! The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings.


But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God. I trust in the steadfast love of God forever and ever.


Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me, for in you my soul takes refuge; in the shadow of your wings I will take refuge, till the storms of destruction pass by.


Lord, you have been our dwelling place in all generations.

The breath of our nostrils, the Lord’s anointed, was captured in their pits, of whom we said, “Under his shadow we shall live among the nations.”


Therefore say, ‘Thus says the Lord God: Though I removed them far off among the nations, and though I scattered them among the countries, yet I have been a sanctuary to them for a while in the countries where they have gone.’


And the bramble said to the trees, ‘If in good faith you are anointing me king over you, then come and take refuge in my shade, but if not, let fire come out of the bramble and devour the cedars of Lebanon.’
