Then they took Joseph’s robe and slaughtered a goat and dipped the robe in the blood.


They pledged themselves to put away their wives, and their guilt offering was a ram of the flock for their guilt.


They offered at the dedication of this house of God 100 bulls, 200 rams, 400 lambs, and as a sin offering for all Israel 12 male goats, according to the number of the tribes of Israel.


Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male a year old. You may take it from the sheep or from the goats,


Yet it was the will of the Lord to crush him; he has put him to grief; when his soul makes an offering for guilt, he shall see his offspring; he shall prolong his days; the will of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.


Now Moses diligently inquired about the goat of the sin offering, and behold, it was burned up! And he was angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, the surviving sons of Aaron, saying,


“And when the days of her purifying are completed, whether for a son or for a daughter, she shall bring to the priest at the entrance of the tent of meeting a lamb a year old for a burnt offering, and a pigeon or a turtledove for a sin offering,


“And on the eighth day he shall take two male lambs without blemish, and one ewe lamb a year old without blemish, and a grain offering of three tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil, and one log of oil.


“Then he shall kill the goat of the sin offering that is for the people and bring its blood inside the veil and do with its blood as he did with the blood of the bull, sprinkling it over the mercy seat and in front of the mercy seat.


And he shall take from the congregation of the people of Israel two male goats for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt offering.


And on the day when you wave the sheaf, you shall offer a male lamb a year old without blemish as a burnt offering to the Lord.


or the sin which he has committed is made known to him, he shall bring as his offering a goat, a male without blemish,


if it is the anointed priest who sins, thus bringing guilt on the people, then he shall offer for the sin that he has committed a bull from the herd without blemish to the Lord for a sin offering.


and he said to Aaron, “Take for yourself a bull calf for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering, both without blemish, and offer them before the Lord.


and an ox and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice before the Lord, and a grain offering mixed with oil, for today the Lord will appear to you.’”


For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh,


For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.


who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.


He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.


For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit,


And they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation,
