“Moreover, you also know what Joab the son of Zeruiah did to me, how he dealt with the two commanders of the armies of Israel, Abner the son of Ner, and Amasa the son of Jether, whom he killed, avenging in time of peace for blood that had been shed in war, and putting the blood of war on the belt around his waist and on the sandals on his feet.


He looses the bonds of kings and binds a waistcloth on their hips.


He pours contempt on princes and loosens the belt of the strong.


the God who equipped me with strength and made my way blameless.


The Lord reigns; he is robed in majesty; the Lord is robed; he has put on strength as his belt. Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved.


Then you will walk on your way securely, and your foot will not stumble.


Righteousness shall be the belt of his waist, and faithfulness the belt of his loins.


Thus says the Lord to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have grasped, to subdue nations before him and to loose the belts of kings, to open doors before him that gates may not be closed:
