6 he says: “It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to bring back the preserved of Israel; I will make you as a light for the nations, that my salvation may reach to the end of the earth.”

This is a light thing in the sight of the Lord. He will also give the Moabites into your hand,


For the Lord loves justice; he will not forsake his saints. They are preserved forever, but the children of the wicked shall be cut off.


Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you!


O you who love the Lord, hate evil! He preserves the lives of his saints; he delivers them from the hand of the wicked.


In that day the root of Jesse, who shall stand as a signal for the peoples—of him shall the nations inquire, and his resting place shall be glorious.

Many peoples and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem and to entreat the favor of the Lord.
