that I may recount all your praises, that in the gates of the daughter of Zion I may rejoice in your salvation.


Your country lies desolate; your cities are burned with fire; in your very presence foreigners devour your land; it is desolate, as overthrown by foreigners.

This very day he will halt at Nob; he will shake his fist at the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.

“Fear not, daughter of Zion; behold, your king is coming, sitting on a donkey’s colt!”
