So they made their father drink wine that night also. And the younger arose and lay with him, and he did not know when she lay down or when she arose.


He is not greater in this house than I am, nor has he kept back anything from me except you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness and sin against God?”


Then Pharaoh’s servants said to him, “How long shall this man be a snare to us? Let the men go, that they may serve the Lord their God. Do you not yet understand that Egypt is ruined?”


So you will be delivered from the forbidden woman, from the adulteress with her smooth words,


The mouth of forbidden women is a deep pit; he with whom the Lord is angry will fall into it.


For the commandment is a lamp and the teaching a light, and the reproofs of discipline are the way of life,


to preserve you from the evil woman, from the smooth tongue of the adulteress.


But he does not know that the dead are there, that her guests are in the depths of Sheol.


For to the one who pleases him God has given wisdom and knowledge and joy, but to the sinner he has given the business of gathering and collecting, only to give to one who pleases God. This also is vanity and a striving after wind.


Behold, this is what I found, says the Preacher, while adding one thing to another to find the scheme of things—
