And Elijah took the child and brought him down from the upper chamber into the house and delivered him to his mother. And Elijah said, “See, your son lives.”


And he said, “Take it up.” So he reached out his hand and took it.


The blessing of him who was about to perish came upon me, and I caused the widow’s heart to sing for joy.


The Lord watches over the sojourners; he upholds the widow and the fatherless, but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin.


And he came and took her by the hand and lifted her up, and the fever left her, and she began to serve them.

Honor widows who are truly widows.


She who is truly a widow, left all alone, has set her hope on God and continues in supplications and prayers night and day,
