There were many, many people in Judah and Israel. The number of people was like sands on the seashore. The people lived happy lives: They ate, drank, and enjoyed themselves.


But the people of Israel had many children, and their number grew and grew. The people of Israel became strong, and the country of Egypt was filled with the Israelites.


Your sins were like a big cloud.\par But I wiped away those sins.\par Your sins are gone,\par like a cloud that disappeared into thin air.\par I rescued and protected you,\par so come back to me!”\par


My people, leave Babylon!\par My people, run from the Chaldeans!\par Tell this news with joy to the people!\par Spread this news to the faraway places\par on earth!\par Tell the people,\par “The Lord rescued his servant Jacob!\par


\{Look!\} God is giving a sign to the nations in a faraway land. God is raising a flag, and he is whistling to call those people. The enemy is coming from a faraway land. The enemy will soon enter the country. They are moving very quickly.


The Lord will save his people.\par They will return to Zion {\cf2\super [419]} with joy.\par They will be very, very happy.\par Their happiness will be like\par a crown on their heads forever.\par They will be singing with joy.\par All sadness will be gone far away.\par


“At that time, the Lord will call for the ‘Fly.’ (The ‘Fly’ is now near the streams of Egypt.) And the Lord will call for the ‘Bee.’ (The ‘Bee’ is now in the country of Assyria. {\cf2\super [90]})These enemies will come to your country.


These enemies will camp in the rocky canyons near the desert streams and near the bushes and watering holes.


But I will give many descendants to my servant David and to the family group of Levi. They will be as many as the stars in the sky—no person can count all those stars. And they will be as many as the pieces of sand on the seashore—no person can count those pieces of sand.”

These people were standing before the throne and before the Lamb (Jesus). They all wore white robes and had palm branches in their hands.
