Huram put these two bronze columns at the porch of the temple. One column was put on the south side and one was put on the north side {of the entrance}. The column on the south was named Jakin. The column on the north was named Boaz.


A person who helps poor people succeed\par will get many blessings. {\cf2\super [256]} \par When trouble comes,\par the Lord will save that person.\par


The Lord will protect that person\par and save his life.\par That person will be blessed on earth.\par God will not let that person’s enemies destroy him.\par


God, we have heard about you.\par Our fathers told us what you did\par in their lifetime.\par They told us what you did long ago.\par


Then Ruth bowed very low to the ground. She said to Boaz, “I am surprised you even noticed me! I am a stranger, {but you have been very kind to me}.”
