19 Naomi and Ruth traveled until they came to the town of Bethlehem. When the two women entered Bethlehem, all the people were very excited. They said, “Is this Naomi?”

The people that pass by on the road\par clap their hands at you in shock.\par They whistle and shake their heads\par at the Daughter of Jerusalem.\par They ask,\par “Is this the city that people called,\par ‘The Perfectly Beautiful City’ and\par ‘The Joy of all the Earth’?”\par


Then Jesus went into Jerusalem. All the people in the city were confused. They asked, “Who is this man?”


But Naomi told the people, “Don’t call me Naomi, [4] call me Marah. [5] Use this name because {God} All-Powerful has made my life very sad.


The servant answered, “She is that Moabite woman who came with Naomi from the hill country of Moab.
