10 the 24 elders {\cf2\super [36]} bow down before the One who sits on the throne. The elders worship him who lives forever and ever. The elders put their crowns down before the throne and say:

Then David said to all the group of people gathered together, “Now give praise to the Lord your God.” So all the people gave praise to the Lord God, the God their ancestors {\cf2\super [325]} worshiped. They bowed to the ground to give honor to the Lord and to the king.


All the people of Israel saw the fire come down from heaven. The people of Israel also saw the Glory of the Lord on the temple. They bowed their faces down low to the ground on the pavement. They worshiped and thanked the Lord. They sang the song, The Lord is good. His kindness continues forever. {\cf2\super [120]}


When Job heard this, he tore his clothes and shaved his head \{to show he was sad and upset\}. Then Job fell on the ground and worshiped God.


Lord, we should not receive any honor.\par The honor belongs to you.\par The honor is yours because of your love\par and because we can trust you.\par


God sits on his holy throne.\par God rules all the nations.\par


May all kings bow down to our king.\par May all nations serve him.\par


Come, let’s bow down and worship him!\par Let’s praise the God who made us!\par


In the year that King Uzziah {\cf2\super [58]} died, {\cf2\super [59]} I saw my Master. He was sitting on a very high and wonderful throne. {\cf2\super [60]} His long robe filled the temple. {\cf2\super [61]}


“The man dressed in linen {\cf2\super [136]} and standing over the water lifted his right and left hands toward heaven. And I heard him make a promise using the name of God who lives forever. He said, ‘It will be for three and one-half years. {\cf2\super [137]} The power of the holy people will be broken, and then all these things will finally come true.’


Then at the end of that time, I, Nebuchadnezzar, looked up toward heaven. And I was in my right mind again. Then I gave praise to God Most High. I gave honor and glory to him who lives forever.


The wise men came to the house where the baby was. They saw the baby with his mother Mary. The wise men bowed down and worshiped the baby. The wise men opened the gifts they brought for the baby. They gave the baby treasures of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. {\cf2\super [23]}


The followers worshiped him there. Then they went back to the city. They were very happy.


But, because of God’s grace (gift), that is what I am. And his grace that he gave me was not wasted. I worked harder than all the other apostles. (But I was not really the one working. It was God’s grace that was with me.)


I raise my hand toward heaven and make this promise. As surely as I live forever, these things will happen!


The angel made a promise by \{the power of\} the One who lives forever and ever. He (God) is the One who made the skies and all that is in them. He made the earth and all that is in it, and he made the sea and all that is in it. The angel said, “There will be no more waiting!


Then the 24 elders {\cf2\super [86]} bowed down on their faces and worshiped God. These are the elders who sit on their thrones before God.


All people will fear you, O Lord.\par All people will praise your name.\par Only you are holy.\par All people will come and worship before you,\par because it is clear that you do the things\par that are right.”\par


Then one of the four living things gave seven golden bowls to the seven angels. The bowls were filled with the anger of God, who lives forever and ever.


Then the 24 elders {\cf2\super [145]} and the four living things bowed down. They worshiped God, who sits on the throne. They said:


Then the Spirit {\cf2\super [34]} took control of me. There before me was a throne in heaven. Someone was sitting on the throne.


Around the throne there were 24 other thrones. There were 24 elders {\cf2\super [35]} sitting on the 24 thrones. The elders were dressed in white, and they had golden crowns on their heads.


These living things give glory and honor and thanks to the One who sits on the throne. He is the One who lives forever and ever. And every time the living things do this,


The four living things said, “Amen {\cf2\super [48]} !” And the elders {\cf2\super [49]} bowed down and worshiped.


After the Lamb took the scroll, the four living things and the 24 elders bowed down before the Lamb. Each one of them had a harp. {\cf2\super [43]} Also they were holding golden bowls full of incense. {\cf2\super [44]} These bowls of incense are the prayers of God’s holy people. {\cf2\super [45]}


The elders {\cf2\super [55]} and the four living things were there. All the angels were standing around them and the throne. The angels bowed down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God.
