David and all the people of Israel were celebrating before God. They were praising God and singing songs. They were playing harps, {\cf2\super [139]} lyres, {\cf2\super [140]} drums, cymbals, {\cf2\super [141]} and trumpets.


David told the Levite leaders to get their brothers, the singers. The singers were to take their lyres, {\cf2\super [160]} harps {\cf2\super [161]} , and cymbals {\cf2\super [162]} and sing happy songs.


The Levites stood every morning and gave thanks and praise to the Lord. They also did this every evening.


Heman led all his sons in singing in the Lord’s temple. {\cf2\super [278]} Those sons used cymbals, {\cf2\super [279]} lyres, {\cf2\super [280]} and harps. {\cf2\super [281]} That was their way of serving in God’s temple. King David chose those men.


They came to Jerusalem with lyres, {\cf2\super [234]} harps, and trumpets and went to the Lord’s temple. {\cf2\super [235]}


And one-third of you will be at the king’s house. And one-third of you will be at the Foundation Gate. But all the other people will stay in the yards of the Lord’s temple. {\cf2\super [258]}


King Hezekiah put the Levites in the Lord’s temple {\cf2\super [351]} with cymbals, {\cf2\super [352]} harps, and lyres {\cf2\super [353]} the way David, Gad the king’s seer, {\cf2\super [354]} and Nathan the prophet had commanded. This command came from the Lord through his prophets.


The people dedicated the wall of Jerusalem. They brought all the Levites to Jerusalem. The Levites came from the towns they lived in. They came to Jerusalem to celebrate the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem. The Levites came to sing songs of praise and thanks to God. They played their cymbals, {\cf2\super [73]} harps, and lyres. {\cf2\super [74]}


Let those people praise God by dancing\par and playing their tambourines and harps.\par


Play the lyre {\cf2\super [204]} and praise the Lord!\par Play to the Lord on the ten-stringed harp.\par


I speak to God, my Rock, {\cf2\super [263]} I say,\par “Lord, why did you forget me?\par Why must I suffer such sadness\par because of the cruelty of my enemy?”\par


Wake up, my soul!\par Harps and lyres, {\cf2\super [338]} begin your music!\par Let’s wake the Dawn.\par


Singers come marching in front,\par followed by the musicians,\par surrounded by young girls\par playing tambourines.\par


The Lord caught those bad people.\par So people learned that the Lord punishes people who do bad things.\par \i (HIGGAYON {\cf2\super [51]})\i0 \par \i (SELAH {\cf2\super [52]})\i0 \par


Then you will go to Gibeath Elohim. There is a Philistine fort in that place. When you come to this town, a group of prophets will come out. These prophets will come down from the place for worship. [106] They will be prophesying. [107] They will be playing harps, tambourines, flutes, and lyres.
