Are you trying to scare me?\par I am only a leaf blowing in the wind.\par You are attacking a little piece of straw!\par


Does God blow the evil people away,\par like the wind blows straw,\par like strong winds blow the grain husks?\par


My God, my God!\par Why did you leave me?\par You are too far away to save me!\par You are too far away to hear my cries for help!\par


Make those people be like chaff {\cf2\super [215]} \par blown by the wind. {\cf2\super [216]} \par Let them be chased by the Lord’s angel.\par


My God, you are my king.\par Give the command\par and lead Jacob’s people to victory.\par


In your great majesty you destroyed the men who stood against you. Your anger destroyed them, like fire burning straw.


\{Those rulers are like plants\};\par they are planted in the ground,\par but before they can send their roots\par into the ground,\par God blows on the “plants,”\par and they become dead and dry,\par and the wind blows them away like straw.\par
