All of Jacob’s sons and daughters tried to comfort him. But Jacob was never comforted. Jacob said, “I will be sorry for my son until the day I die.” [227] So Jacob continued to be sad for his son Joseph.


God tries to comfort you,\par but that is not enough for you.\par We have spoken God’s message to you\par in a gentle way.\par


But I didn’t do any of those bad things.\par I am afraid of God’s punishment.\par His majesty (importance) scares me. {\cf2\super [66]} \par


God All-Powerful’s arrows are in me.\par My spirit feels the poison\par from those arrows!\par God’s terrible weapons are lined up\par against me.\par


“So I won’t be quiet!\par I will speak out!\par My spirit is suffering!\par I will complain because\par my soul is bitter.\par


Why should I be so sad?\par Why should I be so upset?\par I should wait for God’s help.\par I will get the chance to praise him yet.\par He will save me!\par
