The king of Aram was very upset about this. The king of Aram called his army officers and said to them, “Tell me who is {spying} for the king of Israel.”


Assyria says to himself, ‘All of my leaders are like kings!


\{That army will send messengers\par to their country.\}\par What will those messengers tell their people?\par They will announce:\par \{Philistia was defeated,\}\par but the Lord made Zion {\cf2\super [156]} strong.\par And his poor people went there for safety.\par


At that time, people will sing this song in Judah:


Ahaz {\cf2\super [70]} was the son of Jotham. {\cf2\super [71]} Jotham was the son of Uzziah. {\cf2\super [72]} Rezin {\cf2\super [73]} was the king of Aram, {\cf2\super [74]} Pekah son of Remaliah {\cf2\super [75]} was the king of Israel. During the time Ahaz was king of Judah, Rezin and Pekah went up to Jerusalem to fight against it. But they were not able to defeat the city.
