While that messenger was still speaking, another messenger came to Job. The second messenger said, “Lightning struck from the sky and burned up your sheep and servants. I am the only person that escaped. So I came to tell you the news!”


My soul, praise the Lord!\par Lord my God, you are very great!\par You are clothed with glory and honor.\par


So other people learn about\par the great things you do, Lord.\par Those people learn how great and wonderful\par your kingdom is.\par


Your majesty and glory are wonderful.\par I will tell about your miracles.\par


You led the king to victory\par and gave him great glory.\par You gave him honor and praise.\par


The king trusts the Lord.\par God Most-High will not disappoint him.\par


There is a beautiful glory\par shining in front of him.\par There is strength and beauty\par in God’s holy temple.\par


\{The Lord uses me to speak for him.\}\par He uses me like a sharp sword,\par \{But he also protects me,\}\par hiding me in his hand.\par The Lord uses me like a sharp arrow,\par but he also hides me in his arrow bag.\par


God has spoken to the Jewish people. God sent them the Good News {\cf2\super [210]} that peace has come through Jesus Christ. Jesus is the Lord (Ruler) of all people!


That is why Christ died and rose from death to live again. Christ did this so that he could be Lord (ruler) over people that have died and people that are living.


The Son shows the glory of God. He is a perfect copy of God’s nature. The Son holds everything together with his powerful command. The Son made people clean from their sins. Then he sat down at the right side {\cf2\super [2]} of the Great One (God) in heaven.


God’s word {\cf2\super [34]} (message) is alive and working. His word is sharper than the sharpest sword. God’s word cuts all the way into us \{like a sword\}. It cuts deep to the place where the soul and the spirit are joined. God’s word cuts to the center of our joints and our bones. It judges the thoughts and feelings in our hearts.


Here is the point of what we are saying: We have a high priest {\cf2\super [76]} like we have been telling you about. That high priest now sits on the right side {\cf2\super [77]} of God’s throne in heaven.


He held seven stars in his right hand. A sharp two-edged sword came out of his mouth. He looked like the sun shining at its brightest time.


A sharp sword comes out of the rider’s mouth. He will use this sword to defeat the nations. He will rule the nations with a rod of iron. He will squeeze \{the grapes\} in the winepress of the terrible anger of God the All-Powerful.


Their armies were killed with the sword that came out of the mouth of the rider on the horse. All the birds ate these bodies until the birds were full.


Ehud made a sword for himself. That sword had two sharp edges and was about 18 inches [26] long. Ehud tied the sword to his right thigh and hid it under his uniform.
