\{I almost died!\}\par Death’s ropes were wrapped around me.\par The grave was closing in around me.\par I was scared and worried.\par


Lord, guide me like you promised.\par Don’t let anything bad happen to me.\par


But my enemies are chasing me.\par They have crushed my life into the dirt.\par They are pushing me into the dark grave,\par like people who died long ago.\par


I have followed your paths.\par My feet never left your way of living.\par


Make my legs and ankles strong,\par so I can walk fast without stumbling.\par


The earth shook and trembled;\par the foundations of heaven shook.\par Why? Because the Lord was angry!\par


The Lord will protect me\par when I am in danger.\par He will hide me in his tent. {\cf2\super [163]} \par He will take me up\par to his place of safety.\par


The Lord helps a soldier walk carefully.\par The Lord keeps the soldier from falling.\par

Jesus suffered the pain of death, but God made him free. God raised Jesus from death. Death could not hold Jesus.
