Dead people don’t praise the Lord.\par People down in the grave\par don’t praise the Lord.\par


Lord, I depend on you.\par Don’t disappoint me.\par Be kind to me and save me.\par


Look to God for help.\par You will be accepted.\par Don’t be ashamed. {\cf2\super [210]} \par


I hope that all my enemies will be ashamed and embarrassed.\par Those people were happy when bad things happened to me.\par They thought they were better than me!\par So let those people be covered with shame and humiliation.\par


Some people are trying to kill me.\par Disappoint them\par and make them ashamed.\par Make them turn and run away.\par Those people are planning to hurt me.\par \{Defeat them and\} embarrass them.\par


Lord, you have made me very happy!\par I am happier now than at harvest time—\par when we celebrate because we have much grain and wine.\par


All my enemies will be upset and disappointed.\par Something will happen suddenly,\par and they will all leave in shame.\par


My tongue will sing about your goodness all the time.And the people who want to kill mewill be defeated and disgraced.


Lord God All-Powerful,\par when will you listen to our prayers?\par Will you be angry at us forever?\par


\{In the past, you treated us like\par a very important plant.\}\par You brought your “vine” out of Egypt.\par You forced other people to leave this land,\par and you planted your “vine” here.\par


And if the Lord had not helped me,\par I would have been silenced by death.\par


But the Lord is with me.\par The Lord is like a strong soldier.\par So the people that are chasing me will fall.\par Those people will not defeat me.\par Those people will fail.\par They will be disappointed.\par Those people will be ashamed.\par And people will never forget that shame.\par


Many of the people that are dead and buried {\cf2\super [133]} will wake up. Some of them will wake up to have life forever. But some will wake up to have shame and disgrace forever.


The Lord protects his holy people. He keeps them from stumbling. But bad people will be destroyed. They will fall in the darkness. Their power will not help them win.
