Trapped, I called to the Lord for help. Yes, I called to my God.


The priests and the Levites stood up and asked the Lord to bless the people. God heard them. Their prayer came up to the Lord’s holy home in heaven.


The Lord is in his holy palace. {\cf2\super [60]} \par The Lord sits on his throne {\cf2\super [61]} in heaven.\par And he sees everything that happens.\par The Lord watches people closely\par to see if they are good or bad.\par


I was in trouble.\par I called to the Lord for help.\par And he saved me!\par


The Lord protects good people.\par He hears their prayers.\par


But, Lord, by your great mercy,\par I will come to your temple. {\cf2\super [26]} \par I will bow toward your holy temple\par with fear and respect for you, Lord.\par


\{God says,\}\par “Call for me when you have troubles!\par I will help you.\par And then you can honor me.”\par


I am scared and shaking.\par I am terrified.\par


A long time passed and that king of Egypt died. But the people of Israel were still forced to work very hard. They cried for help, and God heard them.


\{But the Lord is different\}! The Lord is in his holy temple. So all the earth should be silent and show respect in front of the Lord.

So Peter was kept in jail. But the church was constantly praying to God for Peter.


Then God’s temple {\cf2\super [89]} in heaven was opened. The Holy Box of the Agreement {\cf2\super [90]} \{that God gave to his people\} could be seen in his temple. Then there were flashes of lightning, noises, thunder, an earthquake, and a great hailstorm.
