In my distress I will call upon the Lord, and I will cry to my God: and he will hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry shall come to his ears.


And the priests and the Levites rose up and blessed the people. And their voice was heard: and their prayer came to the holy dwelling-place of heaven.


May the Lord destroy all deceitful lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things.


I have lifted up my eyes to the mountains, from whence help shall come to me.


But they rejoiced against me, and came together: scourges were gathered together upon me, and I knew not.


Thou hatest all the workers of iniquity: thou wilt destroy all that speak a lie. The bloody and the deceitful man the Lord will abhor:


I will teach the unjust thy ways: and the wicked shall be converted to thee.


In God I will praise my words, in God I have put my trust: I will not fear what flesh can do against me.


Now after a long time the king of Egypt died. And the children of Israel groaning cried out because of the works: and their cry went up unto God from the works.


But the Lord is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him.


And he saith: Abba, Father, all things are possible to thee: remove this chalice from me; but not what I will, but what thou wilt.


Peter therefore was kept in prison. But prayer was made without ceasing by the church unto God for him.


And the temple of God was opened in heaven: and the ark of his testament was seen in his temple, and there were lightnings, and voices, and an earthquake, and great hail.
