Do what you promised for your servant,\par so that people will respect you.\par


Lord, show me your true love.\par Save me like you promised.\par


If your teachings were not like friends to me,\par then my suffering would have\par destroyed me.\par


God, if I am in trouble,\par keep me alive.\par If my enemies are angry at me,\par save me from them.\par

The Lord is my strength.\par He is my shield.\par I trusted him.\par And he helped me.\par I am very happy!\par And I sing songs of praise to him.\par


Why should I be so sad?\par Why should I be so upset?\par I should wait for God’s help.\par I will get the chance to praise him yet.\par He will save me!\par


Every day the Lord shows his true love\par and every night, I have a song for him,\par a prayer for my Living God.\par


I was very worried and upset.\par But Lord, you comforted me\par and made me happy!\par


Your message came to me\par and I ate your words.\par Your message made me very happy.\par I was happy to be called by your name.\par Your name is Lord All-Powerful.\par


So I spoke to the wind for the Lord, like he said. And the breath came into the dead bodies. They came to life and stood up. There were many, many men—they were a very large army!


It is not the body that gives a person life. It is the spirit that gives life. The things I told you are spirit. And so these things give life.


Everything that was written in the past was written to teach us. Those things were written so that we could have hope. That hope comes from the patience and strength that the Scriptures give us.


God decided to give us life through the word of truth. He wanted us to be the most important of all the things he made.


Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God has great mercy, and because of his mercy he gave us a new life. This new life brings us a living hope through Jesus Christ’s rising from death.


Be like babies that are newly born. Be hungry for the pure milk (teaching) that feeds your spirit. By drinking that you can grow up and be saved.
