Ezra came to Jerusalem from Babylon. Ezra was a teacher. {\cf2\super [45]} He knew the Law of Moses very well. The Law of Moses was given by the Lord, the God of Israel. King Artaxerxes gave Ezra everything he asked for because the Lord was with Ezra.


Then all our enemies heard that we had completed the wall. And all the nations around us saw that it was finished. So they lost their courage. Why? Because they understood that this work had been done with the help of our God.


God does that so all of the people\par that God has made\par will know what he can do.\par That is his proof.\par


We will be laughing\par and singing happy songs!\par People in other nations will say,\par “The Lord did a wonderful thing\par for the people of Israel.”\par


So the magicians told Pharaoh that the power of God did this. But Pharaoh refused to listen to them. This happened just like the Lord had said.


They said, “What shall we do with these men (the apostles)? Every person in Jerusalem knows that they have done a great miracle. {\cf2\super [71]} This is clear. We cannot say it is not true.
