But bad people are always looking\par for ways to kill good people.\par


They hide together\par and watch my every move,\par hoping for some way to kill me.\par


Look, strong men are waiting for me.\par They are waiting to kill me,\par even though I did not sin\par or commit any crime.\par


Those bad people might say, “Come with us! We are going to hide and wait for someone to kill. We will attack some innocent person.


Never move an old property line that was marked long ago by your ancestors. {\cf2\super [31]}


My people will live in the beautiful field of peace. My people will live in tents of safety. They will live in calm and peaceful places.


Before the Lord showed me that the people were against me, I was like a gentle lamb waiting to be butchered. I did not understand that they were against me. They were saying these things about me: “Let us destroy the tree and its fruit! Let us kill him! Then people will forget him.”


In the meeting, they tried to find a way to arrest Jesus without the people seeing it. They planned to arrest Jesus and kill him.


But Paul’s nephew heard about this plan. He went to the army building and told Paul about the plan.


They asked Festus to do something for them; the Jews wanted Festus to send Paul back to Jerusalem. They had a plan to kill Paul on the way.


The Jews were watching the city gates day and night, \{waiting for Saul\}. They wanted to kill him. But Saul learned about their plan.
