Don’t worry about what you will say.

Paul said, “My brothers and my fathers, listen to me! I will make my defense to you.”

Agrippa {\cf2\super [485]} said to Paul, “You may now speak to defend yourself.”

While Paul was saying these things to defend himself, Festus shouted, “Paul, you are crazy! Too much study has made you crazy!”

But other people are selfish and refuse to follow truth. Those people follow evil. God will give those people his punishment and anger.

I don’t care if they make trouble for me. The important thing is that they are telling people about Christ. I want them to tell people about Christ. They should do it for the right reasons. But I am happy even if they do it for false and wrong reasons. I am happy because they tell people about Christ, and I will continue to be happy.

And I know that I am right to think like this about all of you. I am sure because I have you in my heart—I feel very close to you. I feel close to you because all of you share in God’s grace (kindness) with me. You share in God’s grace with me while I am in prison, while I am defending the Good News, {\cf2\super [5]} and while I am proving the truth of the Good News.

When you do things, don’t let selfishness or pride be your guide. Be humble and give more honor to other people than to yourselves.

That is why I was chosen to tell the Good News. {\cf2\super [6]} That is why I was chosen to be an apostle. {\cf2\super [7]} (I am telling the truth. I am not lying.) I was chosen to be a teacher of the non-Jewish people. I teach them to believe and know the truth.

And I am suffering because I tell that Good News. I am even bound with chains like a person who has really done wrong. But God’s teaching is not bound.

All Scripture is given by God. And all Scripture is useful for teaching and for showing people the things that are wrong in their lives. It is useful for correcting faults and teaching how to live right.
