Jesus finished telling these things to his twelve followers. Then Jesus left there and went to the towns in Galilee to teach the people and tell them \{about God\}.


After Jesus said all these things, he left Galilee. Jesus went into the area of Judea on the other side of the Jordan River.


All the people heard this. They were amazed at Jesus’ teaching.


After Jesus finished saying all these things, he said to his followers,


It rained hard, the water rose, and the winds blew and hit that house. And the house fell with a loud noise.”

How did he get this wisdom? Who gave it to him? And where did he get the power to do miracles {\cf2\super [62]} ? \{Surely, not from God!\}


But all the people were listening closely to Jesus. They were very interested in the things Jesus said. So the leading priests, the teachers of the law, and the leaders did not know how they could kill Jesus.


Everyone heard him. They were amazed at his understanding and wise answers.


All the people said good things about Jesus. They were amazed at the beautiful words Jesus spoke. The people said, “\{How can he speak like this?\} He is only Joseph’s son, isn’t he?”


They were amazed at Jesus’ teaching, because he spoke with authority (power).

The Jews were amazed. They said, “This man has never studied in school. How did he learn so much?”


The temple police answered, “The things he says are greater than the words of any person we’ve ever heard!”
