After the 62 weeks, {\cf2\super [112]} the chosen person will be killed. {\cf2\super [113]} He will be gone. {\cf2\super [114]} Then the people of the future leader will destroy the city and the holy place. That end will come like a flood. War will continue until the end. God has ordered that place to be completely destroyed.


The Lord All-Powerful says, “Sword, hit the shepherd! Hit my friend! Hit the shepherd and the sheep will run away. And I will punish those little ones.


From that time Jesus began telling his followers that he must go to Jerusalem. Jesus explained that the older Jewish leaders, the leading priests, and the teachers of the law would make him suffer many things. And Jesus told his followers that he must be killed. Then, on the third day, he would be raised from death.


They said, “Sir, we remember that while that liar was still alive he said, ‘After three days I will rise from death.’


There were about 4,000 men that ate. After they ate, Jesus told them to go home.


To answer this question, Jesus said, “A man was going down the road from Jerusalem to Jericho. Some robbers surrounded him. They tore off his clothes and beat him. Then the robbers left the man lying there on the ground. He was almost dead.


Then Jesus said, “The Son of Man {\cf2\super [170]} must suffer many things. He will be rejected by the older Jewish leaders, the leading priests, and teachers of the law. The Son of Man will be killed. But after three days he will be raised from death.”


The time was coming near when Jesus would leave and go back to heaven. He decided to go to Jerusalem.
