Now I will tell you about the Lord’s agreement.\par The Lord said to me,\par “Today I become your father! {\cf2\super [4]} \par And you are my son.\par


My mother and my father left me.\par But the Lord took me\par and made me his.\par


Then those followers in the boat worshiped Jesus and said, “Truly you are the Son of God.”


Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, {\cf2\super [229]} the Son of the living God.”


The devil came to Jesus to tempt him. The devil said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these rocks to become bread.”

Later Jesus found the man at the temple. {\cf2\super [78]} Jesus said to him, “See, you are well now. But stop sinning or something worse may happen to you!”


We believe in you. We know that you are the Holy One from God.”


His parents said this because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders. The Jewish leaders had already decided that they would punish any person that said Jesus was the Christ. {\cf2\super [158]} They would put those people out of the synagogue. {\cf2\super [159]}


The Jewish leaders answered, “You were born full of sin! Are you trying to teach us?” And the Jewish leaders forced the man to leave.


While they were traveling down the road, they came to some water. The officer said, “Look! Here is water! What is stopping me from being baptized {\cf2\super [180]} ?”


Soon he began to go to the synagogues {\cf2\super [193]} and tell people about Jesus. He told the people, “Jesus is the Son of God!”


Then Isaiah is bold enough to say this \{for God\}:


If a person says, “I believe that Jesus is the Son of God,” then God lives in that person. And that person lives in God.


When I come, I will talk about what Diotrephes is doing. He lies and says evil things about us. But that is not all he does! He refuses to help those brothers \{who are working to serve Christ\}. Diotrephes also stops those people who want to help the brothers. He makes those people leave the church (group of believers).


The children of your sister {\cf2\super [5]} who was chosen by God send you their love.


But, dear friends, use your most holy faith to build yourselves up strong. Pray with the Holy Spirit. {\cf2\super [10]}


And now, dear lady, {\cf2\super [4]} I tell you: We should all love each other. This is not a new command. It is the same command we had from the beginning.
