32 Listen to me. A time is coming when you will be scattered. Each of you will be scattered to his own home. That time is now here. You will leave me. I will be alone. But I am never really alone, because the Father is with me.

“I have told you these things, using words that hide the meaning. But the time will come when I will not use words like that to tell you things. I will speak to you in plain words about the Father.


Jesus said, “So now you believe?

Jesus said, “Believe me, woman! The time is coming when you will not have to be in Jerusalem or on that mountain to worship the Father (God).


The time is coming when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth. That time is now here. And those are the kind of people the Father wants to be his worshipers.


I tell you the truth. An \{important\} time is coming. That time is already here. People that are dead \{in sin\} will hear the voice of the Son of God. And the people that \{accept the things they\} hear \{from the Son\} will have life \{forever\}.


Don’t be surprised at this. A time is coming when all people that are dead and in their graves will hear his voice.


But if I judge, my judging is true. Why? Because when I judge I am not alone. The Father who sent me is with me.


The One (God) who sent me is with me. I always do what pleases him. So he has not left me alone.”


Then we said good-bye and got on the ship. The followers went home.


Saul agreed that the killing of Stephen was a good thing.
