Aaron will wear this on his head. In this way he will remove the guilt if anything is wrong with the gifts of the people of Israel. [260] These are the gifts the people give to the Lord. Aaron will always wear this on his head so that the Lord will accept the gifts of the people.


The Lord decided to crush him. The Lord decided that he must suffer, so the Servant gave himself to be the one to die. But he will live a new life for a long, long time. He will see his people. He will complete the things the Lord wants him to do.


He will suffer many things in his soul, but he will see the good things that happen. He will be satisfied with the things he learns. My Good Servant will make many people not guilty; he will carry away their guilt.


He was hurt and punished. But he never protested. He said nothing—like a sheep being taken to be killed. He was like a lamb that makes no sound when someone cuts off its wool. He never opened his mouth \{to defend himself\}.


Think about the things you will say. And come back to the Lord. Say to him,


“You were supposed to eat that goat in the holy area! It is very holy! Why did you not eat it in front of the Lord? The Lord gave it to you to carry away the guilt of the people—to make the people pure. [123]


But at that time, a new spring of water will be opened for David’s family and for the other people living in Jerusalem. That fountain will be to wash away their sins and to make the people pure.


The Lord said to Aaron, “You, your sons, and all the people in your father’s family are now responsible for any wrong things that are done against the holy place. You and your sons are responsible for wrong things that are done against the priests.


The Levite people who are working in the Meeting Tent are responsible for any sins against it. This is a law that will continue forever. The Levite people will not get any of the land that I promised to the other people of Israel.


So Moses obeyed the Lord. He made a bronze snake and put it on a pole. Then when a snake bit any person, that person looked at the bronze snake on the pole and lived.


She will give birth to a son. You will name the son Jesus. {\cf2\super [13]} Give him that name because he will save his people from their sins.”


It is the same with the Son of Man. {\cf2\super [276]} The Son of Man did not come for other people to serve him. The Son of Man came to serve other people. The Son of Man came to give his life to save many people.”


The next day John was there again. John had two of his followers with him.


John saw Jesus walking by. John said, “Look, the Lamb of God {\cf2\super [27]} !”


The next day Jesus decided to go to Galilee. Jesus found Philip and said to him, “Follow me.”


Two days later there was a wedding in the town of Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there.


Yes, God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son. God gave his Son so that every person that believes in him would not be lost, but have life forever.


The people said to the woman, “First we believed in Jesus because of what you told us. But now we believe because we heard him ourselves. We know now that he really is the one that will save the world.”


I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If a person eats this bread, then that person will live forever. This bread is my body. I will give my body so that the people in the world can have life.”


The part of Scripture {\cf2\super [177]} that he was reading was this:


I gave you the message that I received. I told you the most important things: that Christ died for our sins, like the Scriptures {\cf2\super [107]} say;


Jesus gave himself for our sins. Jesus did this to free us from this evil world we live in. This is what God the Father wanted.


The law put a curse on us. But Christ took away that curse. He changed places with us. Christ put himself under that curse. The Scriptures say, “When a person’s body is put (hung) on a tree, {\cf2\super [32]} that person is under a curse.” {\cf2\super [33]}


Jesus gave himself to pay for \{the sins of\} all people. Jesus is proof \{that God wants all people to be saved\}. And he came at the right time.


He gave himself for us. He died to free us from all evil. He died to make us pure people that belong only to him—people that are always wanting to do good things.


The Son shows the glory of God. He is a perfect copy of God’s nature. The Son holds everything together with his powerful command. The Son made people clean from their sins. Then he sat down at the right side {\cf2\super [2]} of the Great One (God) in heaven.


For this reason Jesus had to be made like us his brothers and sisters in every way. Jesus became like people so that he could be their merciful and faithful high priest {\cf2\super [14]} in service to God. Then Jesus could bring forgiveness for the people’s sins.


So Christ was offered as a sacrifice one time to take away the sins of many people. And Christ will come a second time, but not for people’s sin. Christ will come the second time to bring salvation to those people who are waiting for him.


But you were bought with the precious blood (death) of Christ—a pure and perfect lamb.


Christ carried our sins in his body on the cross. He did this so that we would stop living for sin and live for what is right. By his (Christ’s) wounds you were healed.


Christ himself died for you. And that one death paid for your sins. He was not guilty, but he died for people who are guilty. He did this to bring you all to God. His body was killed, but he was made alive in the spirit.


Jesus is the way our sins are taken away. And Jesus is the way that all people can have their sins taken away, too.


You know that Christ came to take away people’s sins. There is no sin in Christ.


True love is God’s love for us, not our love for God. God sent his Son to be the way that God takes away our sins.


and from Jesus Christ. Jesus is the faithful witness. He was first among those to be raised from death. Jesus is the ruler of the kings of the earth.


Our brothers defeated him by the blood (death) of the Lamb and by the message \{of God\} they told people. They did not love their lives too much. They were not afraid of death.


All the people who live on earth will worship the animal. These are all the people since the beginning of the world whose names are not written in the Lamb’s book of life. The Lamb is the One who was killed.


Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb. He was standing on Mount Zion. {\cf2\super [97]} There were 144,000 people with him. They all had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads.


That person will drink the wine of God’s anger. This wine is prepared with all its strength in the cup of God’s anger. That person will be tortured (hurt) with burning sulfur before the holy angels and the Lamb.


These 144,000 people are the ones who did not do wrong things with women. They kept themselves pure. They follow the Lamb every place he goes. These 144,000 were redeemed (saved) from among the people of the earth. They are the first people to be offered to God and the Lamb.


They sang the song of Moses, {\cf2\super [113]} the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb:


They will make war against the Lamb. But the Lamb will defeat them, because he is Lord of lords and King of kings. He will defeat them with his chosen and faithful followers—the people that he has called.”


Let us rejoice and be happy\par and give God glory!\par Give God glory, because the wedding\par of the Lamb (Jesus) has come.\par And the Lamb’s bride (the church)\par has made herself ready.\par


Then the angel said to me, “Write this: Those people who are invited to the wedding meal of the Lamb are blessed (happy)!” Then the angel said, “These are the true words of God.”


The walls of the city were built on twelve foundation stones. {\cf2\super [162]} On the stones were written the names of the twelve apostles {\cf2\super [163]} of the Lamb.


One of the seven angels came to me. This was one of the angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last troubles. The angel said, “Come with me. I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.”


Then I saw a Lamb standing in the center of the throne with the four living things around it. The elders {\cf2\super [41]} were also around the Lamb. The Lamb looked like it had been killed. It had seven horns and seven eyes. These are the seven spirits of God that were sent into all the world.


After the Lamb took the scroll, the four living things and the 24 elders bowed down before the Lamb. Each one of them had a harp. {\cf2\super [43]} Also they were holding golden bowls full of incense. {\cf2\super [44]} These bowls of incense are the prayers of God’s holy people. {\cf2\super [45]}


Then I watched while the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals. I heard one of the four living things speak with a voice like thunder. It said, “Come!”


The people said to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us. Hide us from the face of the One who sits on the throne. Hide us from the anger of the Lamb!


I answered, “You know who they are, sir.”


The Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd. He will lead them to springs of water that give life. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
