But God can see clearly into\par that place of death\par Death {\cf2\super [48]} is not hidden from God.\par


Workers dig the hardest rocks.\par Those workers dig away at the mountains\par and make them bare.\par


So God knows what people do.\par That is why God will defeat evil people\par over night and destroy them.\par


If you are like God,\par then you can show your anger\par and punish proud people.\par Make those proud people humble.\par


I (God) owe no person anything.\par Everything under heaven belongs to me. {\cf2\super [102]} \par


Mountains, why did you dance like rams?\par And hills, why did you dance like lambs?\par


So we are not afraid when the\par earth quakes,\par and the mountains fall into the sea.\par

The Lord will come,\par and the mountains will shake \{with fear\},\par and the hills will melt away.\par The Lord will come,\par and the earth will shake with fear.\par The world and every person on it\par will shake with fear.\par


No person can stand against\par the Lord’s great anger.\par No one can endure his terrible anger.\par His anger will burn like fire.\par The rocks will shatter when he comes.\par


The mountains saw you and shook.\par The water flowed off the land.\par The water from the sea made a loud noise\par as it lost its power over the land.\par


The Lord stood and judged the earth.\par He looked at the people of all the nations.\par And they shook with fear.\par For many years the mountains stood strong.\par But those mountains fell to pieces.\par The old, old hills fell down.\par God has always been like that!\par


That tall mountain will be like a flat place for Zerubbabel. He will build the temple, and when the most important stone is put in place, the people will shout, ‘Beautiful! Beautiful!’”


Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth. If you have faith and no doubts, you will be able to do the same as I did to this tree. And you will be able to do more. You will be able to say to this mountain, ‘Go, mountain, fall into the sea.’ And if you have faith, it will happen.


When Jesus died, the curtain in the temple {\cf2\super [434]} was torn into two pieces. The tear started at the top and tore all the way to the bottom. Also, the earth shook and rocks were broken.


There will be great earthquakes, sicknesses, and other bad things in many places. In some places there will be no food for the people to eat. Terrible things will happen, and amazing things will come from heaven to warn people.


I may have the gift of prophecy {\cf2\super [93]} ; I may understand all the secret things \{of God\} and know everything; and I may have faith so great that I can move mountains. But even with all these things, if I don’t have love, then I am nothing.


At that same time there was a great earthquake. One tenth of the city was destroyed. And 7,000 people were killed in the earthquake. The people that did not die were very afraid. They gave glory to the God of heaven.


The sky was divided. It was rolled up like a scroll. {\cf2\super [53]} And every mountain and island was moved from its place.
