Why? Because people without God\par have nothing.\par People who love money\par will have their homes destroyed by fire.\par


The evil person will be taken away\par from the safety of his house.\par He will be led away to meet\par the king of terrors.\par


You might say:\par ‘Show me a good man’s house.\par Now, show me where evil people live.’\par


God won’t let evil people live.\par God always treats poor people fairly.\par


The ropes of their tent are pulled up,\par


Why don’t you just pardon me\par for doing wrong?\par Why don’t you just forgive me\par for my sins?\par Soon I will die and be in my grave.\par Then you will search for me,\par but I will be gone.”\par


If a person leans against a spider’s web,\par the web will break.\par He holds on to the spider’s web,\par but it won’t support him.\par


But if the plant is moved from its place,\par \{it will die\} and no one would know\par that it had ever been there.\par


Embarrass my enemies!\par Let them wear their shame like a coat.\par

I hope that all my enemies will be ashamed and embarrassed.\par Those people were happy when bad things happened to me.\par They thought they were better than me!\par So let those people be covered with shame and humiliation.\par


The house of an evil person will be destroyed. But the home of a good person will live forever.


Then all the leaders of the countries by the sea will step down from their thrones \{and show their sadness\}. They will take off their special robes. They will take off their beautiful clothes. Then they will put on their ‘clothes of shaking’ (fear). They will sit on the ground and shake with fear. They will be shocked at how quickly you were destroyed.


The Lord All-Powerful says: I will send that scroll to the houses of thieves and to houses of people that lie when they use my name to make promises. That scroll will stay there and destroy those houses. Even the stones and wooden posts will be destroyed.”


Young men, I have something to say to you, too. You should accept the authority of the elders. {\cf2\super [32]} All of you should be very humble with each other.
