Why did you run away without telling me? If you had told me, I would have given you a party. There would have been singing and dancing with music.


Adah also had another son Jubal. (Jubal was Jabal’s brother.) Jubal was the father of people who play the harp and flute.


Evil people send their children out\par to play like lambs.\par Their children dance around.\par


Evil people enjoy success\par during their lives.\par Then they die\par and go to their grave without suffering.\par


Praise God with tambourines and dancing!\par Praise him with stringed instruments and flutes!\par


But look! The people are happy now. The people are rejoicing. \{The people are saying\}:


You party with your wine, harps, {\cf2\super [52]} drums, flutes, and other musical instruments. And you don’t see the things the Lord has done. The Lord’s hands have made many, many things—but you don’t notice those things. So, it will be very bad for you people.
