If a person dies, will he live again?\par I would wait as long as I must\par until I could be set free.\par


My spirit is broken;I am ready to give up.My life is almost gone,the grave is waiting for me.


But my friends are all mixed up.\par They think night is day.\par They think darkness drives away\par the light.\par


If I had died when I was born,\par I would be at peace now.\par I wish I were asleep and at rest\par


I know you will lead me to my death.\par Every living person must die.\par


“My strength is gone,\par so I have no hope to go on living.\par I don’t know what will happen to me,\par so I have no reason to be patient.\par


A cloud disappears and is gone.\par In the same way, a person dies\par and is buried in the grave\par and he won’t come back.\par


Lord, if I go up to heaven,\par you are there.\par If I go down to the place of death,\par you are there.\par


Wait for the Lord’s help!\par Be strong and brave,\par and wait for the Lord’s help!\par


You will be afraid of high places. You will be afraid of tripping over every small thing in your path. Your hair will become white like the flowers on an almond tree. You will drag yourself along like a grasshopper when you walk. You will lose your desire \{to live\}. {\cf2\super [45]} And then you will go to your eternal home (the grave). The mourners {\cf2\super [46]} will gather in the streets \{as they carry your body to the grave\}.


But peace will come,\par and the people will rest in their\par own beds.\par They will live the way God wants them to.\par
