“Lord, remember that I have truly served you with all my heart. I have done the things that you say are good.” Then Hezekiah cried very hard.


My face is red from crying.\par There are dark rings around my eyes.\par


He speaks to God for me\par like a person {\cf2\super [31]} arguing for his friend.\par


I also could say the same things you say,\par if you had my troubles.\par I could say wise things against you\par and shake my head at you.\par


Truly, God, you took away my strength.\par You destroyed my whole family.\par


People stand around meand laugh at me.I watch them as they teaseand insult me.


My eyes have become almost blind\par because I am very sad and in great pain.\par My whole body has become very thin,\par like a shadow.\par


“God has made my brothers hate me.\par I am a stranger to all my friends.\par


I wish I knew where to find God.\par I wish I knew how to go to God!\par


I loved them,\par but they hate me.\par So now, I am praying to you, God.\par


I will tell the Lord about my problems.\par I will tell the Lord about my troubles.\par


While Christ lived on earth he prayed to God and asked God for help. God is the One who could save him from death, and Jesus prayed to God with loud cries and tears. And God answered Jesus’ prayers because Jesus was humble and did everything God wanted.
